Description
APPLICATIONS
Automated Weather Observation System (AWOS) is a real-time automated weather station used for airport or heliport operations. The AWOS provides current weather information to pilots via GTA/VHF radio and landline modem. These systems meet Transport Canada, ICAO, and FAA requirements for public use.
Approach Navigation Systems Inc. has been installing and supporting Automatic Weather Observation Systems (AWOS) at private, industrial, and public aerodromes in Canada and overseas for over twenty-five years. An AWOS station provides continuous real-time weather reports without human involvement for users of aviation facilities. The AWOS systems supplied by ANS Inc are of the highest quality available and are deployed worldwide. It is approved by ICAO, FAA, and TC for public use. We supply, Install, Commission, Service, and support all of our AWOS systems and have been involved in over 250 installations across Canada and around the world. The attached brochures (PDF) describe the operating features and sensor specifications of the AWOS. We offer scalable AWOS systems that can start at an AWOS I level and go all the way up to an AWOS IV.
